Join Rabbi Sydney Mintz and Rabbi Beth Singer and our musicians as we journey together from the Temple through the Arguello Gate and into the redwoods for guided meditation, music, silence, chanting and healing prayers. We are honored to be joined by Jai Uttal, Grammy nominated sacred music composer, recording artist, multi-instrumentalist, and ecstatic vocalist, combines influences from India with influences from American rock and jazz, creating a stimulating and exotic multi-cultural fusion that is truly world spirit music.
Grit & Endurance: How to Keep Hope Alive
1:45pm-2:45pm
Martin Meyer Sanctuary
Working to stop gun violence, preserve our climate, restore reproductive rights, and maintain fundamental democratic principles has become increasingly challenging. How do we hang in there and stay committed to the Jewish value of tzedek, tzedek tirdof (relentlessly pursuing justice) when things seem so difficult? Please join the Tzedek Justice Collective and Rabbi Jason Rodich as we hear inspiring and hopeful reflections from social justice heroes; Michael Tubbs, founder of End Poverty in California, Judi Shils, founder and Executive Director of Turning Green, Adrian Schurr, the Regional Giving Lead for Google.org., and Senator Scott Wiener. Our panelists will share how they remain committed to the work of Tikkun Olan despite enormous challenges. We hope you will join us for this rare opportunity to hear from exceptional activists and leaders, witnessing hope and inspiration at a time when we all need more of both!
